Traditional Saunas
A traditional sauna heats stones, and you pour water on them. That is the whole difference: real steam, a room that runs hot, and the ability to change how it feels from one ladle to the next. Electric or wood-fired, indoor or outdoor.

Frequently asked questions
How hot does a traditional sauna get?
Typically 160 to 195°F at bench level, with humidity you control by how much water you throw. Infrared cabins run far cooler and feel entirely different.
Electric or wood-fired?
Electric if you want it ready on a timer and have the supply; wood if you want the ritual and can build a compliant flue. The heat itself is much the same.
Do I need special stones?
Sauna stones are almost always sold separately, and the volume needed is on the heater's page. Use only stones sold for sauna use: ordinary rock can crack or explode when water hits it.
How do I pay?
Card or bank transfer (ACH), both at checkout. Stripe handles the payment, so your card details never reach us. A transfer takes a day or two longer to clear, and on a large order it is the one we prefer.
Can you install it?
In the Bay Area, yes. Your Saunas is a licensed general contractor, CSLB #1150020, so the carpentry and the electrical are the same crew rather than two trades blaming each other. Further afield we ship and you bring your own installer. Call (707) 625-5555 before you order if you want the install quoted with the sauna.
