We assemble prefab and modular sauna kits for homes across the Peninsula and Silicon Valley — Atherton, Los Altos, Palo Alto, Hillsborough, Menlo Park, Saratoga — and throughout the Bay Area. We level it, square it, assemble the panels to factory spec, run the power, set the ventilation and fire it up with you.
Because we hold the general, electrical and HVAC licenses ourselves, the same team that builds it also wires it — so there's no waiting on an outside electrician, no scheduling gaps, and no "coordinate with your own electrician." One call, one team, done right.
What's included · the assembly
From flat-pack to fired up.
Site evaluation
We check your space, clearances, floor, drainage and power access before a single panel goes up — garage, basement, spare room, patio, deck or rooftop. We tell you straight if your spot or panel needs anything first.
Foundation & leveling
A flat, level, properly supported base is what makes a kit last. We level the platform, shim and square the frame, and confirm the unit sits dead-flat so doors seal and panels don't gap over time.
Panel assembly
We assemble the walls, roof, benches, door and glass to the manufacturer's spec — sealed and squared, the way the factory intended, by people who do it for a living.
240V wiring — in-house
Dedicated circuit, GFCI where required, heater and control hookup — all done by our own licensed team. No outside electrician, no "coordinate with yours," no scheduling gap.
Ventilation
Correct intake and exhaust so the kit heats evenly, breathes properly and dries out between sessions — the difference between a kit that lasts and one that warps.
Heater test & commissioning
We power it up, run it to temperature, confirm the controls, sensors and safety cutoffs all behave, and check the heat is even.
Inspection
We verify the install against the manufacturer's spec and applicable code, and handle the electrical sign-off ourselves where a permit applies — not a separate trade you chase.
Walkthrough
We hand over a clean space, show you the controls and care, and leave you ready to use it that night.
Indoors or out — basement, garage, spare room, patio, deck or rooftop terrace with proper access. Infrared, electric, wood-burning or hybrid heaters all handled. If your panels arrived damaged or short a part, we flag it and help you claim it before we assemble.

The permit checklist for a prefab sauna
A kit still lives in the real world of city rules — and the part people miss is that even when the structure skips a building permit, the new 240V circuit usually still needs an electrical one. An electrical permit — almost always
A new dedicated 240V circuit needs an electrical permit in nearly every Bay Area city, kit or custom. We run that as part of the hookup — it's handled, not homework.
A building permit — it depends
Whether the kit's structure needs a building permit depends on its size, whether it's attached, and your city. A small detached unit is often exempt; a larger or attached one may not be. We flag which applies to yours before we start.
Setbacks, HOA & placement
Some cities limit how close a structure can sit to a fence, the house or a property line, and HOAs add rules of their own. We check placement against these at the site visit — not after assembly.
A level base & clear access
Not a permit, but the other half of a smooth day: a flat, supported base and a clear path to move panels in and run power to the spot. We confirm both up front so assembly day has no surprises.
Who files and carries it
Because we hold the GC and C-10, we run the permit process for your install and carry the electrical inspection — you don't file paperwork or schedule an inspector. That's the point of one licensed team.
This is orientation, not legal advice — requirements vary by city and change over time. The upside of a licensed assembly is that you don't have to track any of it: we confirm what your kit and your city need, then handle the permit and the inspection as part of the job.
The moat
We assemble any brand — and we wire it ourselves.
Most installers will assemble your kit and then tell you to "coordinate with your licensed electrician" for the 240V hookup — two contractors, two schedules, and a gap where things go wrong. We don't work that way.
YOURSAUNAS holds the General Contractor, Electrical (C-10) and HVAC (C-20) licenses in-house, so the same team that assembles your sauna also runs the power and sets the ventilation — code-correct, in one visit, test-fired before we leave.
And because every step is done to the manufacturer's spec by licensed pros, your warranty stays intact — a kit damaged by a sloppy DIY install or an unlicensed hookup can void it. We assemble any brand you bought; we just won't tell you whose was easier.
