Is there a licensed sauna builder serving Sacramento?

Yes. YOURSAUNAS is a licensed California general contractor (CSLB license #1150020, Class B), based in Mill Valley in Marin County, and from October 2026 we serve the Sacramento area as well. Our crew and representative office are in Sacramento, so the first meeting, the measuring and the build all happen locally and in person.

To be straightforward: Sacramento is a new area for us, and our completed projects so far are in the Bay Area, Marin and wine country. The build is done by our Sacramento crew, with the same in-house carpentry, 240V wiring and ventilation as every YOURSAUNAS job.

How a Sacramento project works

The consultation and site visit are local. Our Sacramento office looks at your space, the access and the electrical panel. You get a written, itemized quote after the visit.

The build is local too. Once the quote is signed, our Sacramento crew builds, wires and commissions the sauna.

One team owns it afterward. The company that built and wired your sauna is the company you call later. Our process and pricing page sets out every step.

What our crew has built elsewhere

None of these is in Sacramento; they show the work done under the same licence and to the same standard. From our own invoices.

A sauna in Sacramento’s climate

Inland Sacramento summers are hot and dry. The main stresses on an outdoor sauna are strong sun and heat rather than constant damp, so the finish needs to resist UV and the wood needs to be sealed to move without checking. A spot with afternoon shade helps both the wood and an evening session after a hot day.

If the yard gets full sun all afternoon, an indoor sauna in a garage or a spare room is worth weighing too. Either way, the heater needs a dedicated 240V circuit, and the panel needs room for it. We check the panel on the first visit.

Sauna permits around Sacramento

A new 240V circuit needs an electrical permit, and whether the sauna structure needs a building permit depends on its size, whether it is attached and where it sits on the lot. Who issues it depends on your address. In the City of Sacramento, building permits go through the Building Division of the Community Development Department, which offers online building services.

The surrounding cities run their own building departments, and unincorporated communities such as Granite Bay and El Dorado Hills go through their county. We confirm the specifics with the right office, file the permits, and meet the inspector. The two-permit logic in our permit guide applies here too.

Sacramento sauna FAQ

Sacramento questions, straight answers.

Have you built saunas in Sacramento before?

Not yet. Sacramento is new for us as of October 2026; our completed projects are in the Bay Area, Marin and wine country. The licensed team that built those saunas is the team that builds yours.

Who comes to my site visit?

Our Sacramento office. We measure the space, check the access and the electrical panel, and gather what we need for a written quote.

Is the crew local to Sacramento?

Yes. The build, wiring and commissioning are done by our Sacramento crew, and we confirm the schedule in writing.

I bought a sauna kit online. Can you assemble it in Roseville or Folsom?

Yes. Prefab assembly starts from $1,490, with the electrical work quoted separately, for any brand, anywhere in the area we list above.

Will the Sacramento summer heat damage an outdoor sauna?

Not if it is built and finished for it. The main stresses are sun and drying rather than constant damp, so we use a UV-resistant finish, seal the wood to move without cracking, and help you place the cabin for afternoon shade. Our indoor vs outdoor guide helps if you are still deciding.
