We design, build and install custom outdoor saunas for homes across the Peninsula and Silicon Valley — Atherton, Los Altos, Palo Alto, Hillsborough, Menlo Park, Saratoga — and throughout the Bay Area. Every build is engineered for our coastal climate: morning fog, salt air, hillside drainage, and the tight setbacks and HOA rules that come with Bay Area lots.
Because we hold the general, electrical and HVAC licenses ourselves, one team handles the whole thing — no handoffs, no "coordinate with your own electrician."

Every step, under one roof.
Site & foundation
Concrete pad, gravel bed, or reinforced deck platform — chosen for your drainage and slope (GC, in-house). Hillside lots get proper anchoring; rooftops get wind-load engineering, crane logistics and HOA coordination.
Framing & shell
Pressure-treated framing, marine-grade hardware, and weather-sealed cedar or spruce that holds up to fog and salt air.
Electrical — in-house
Dedicated 240V circuit, GFCI, sealed exterior-rated wiring, heater hookup and low-glare LED. No outside electrician, no scheduling gaps.
Ventilation & HVAC
Correct intake and exhaust for an efficient, even löyly and a dry, long-lasting build.
Heater
Electric or wood-burning, sized to the room. We explain the trade-offs and install it.
Finish & details
Benches, a glass wall or door for the view, weather-tight audio, and optional pool / cold-plunge integration.
Walkthrough
We fire it up with you, show you the controls and care, and hand over a clean site.

Coastal durability
Built to shrug off fog, salt air and coastal damp
The Bay Area coast is hard on outdoor wood: fog most mornings, salt in the air, and big swings between damp and dry. An outdoor sauna survives it — comfortably, for decades — when it's built for this climate, not shipped as a one-size kit. Here's what actually threatens an outdoor build, and how we design against each.
Salt air & corrosion
Near the coast, ordinary fasteners rust and streak the wood. We use marine-grade stainless hardware and corrosion-resistant fixings throughout, so the structure keeps both its integrity and its looks.
Fog & standing moisture
The shell is damp more mornings than not. Moisture-resistant cedar or spruce, weather-sealed finishes, a rain-shedding roof pitch and vented roofing let the exterior shed water and dry out between fogs instead of trapping it.
A base off wet ground
Rot starts where wood meets wet earth. A proper drained foundation — concrete pad, gravel bed or reinforced deck — keeps the sill up out of the ground, with hillside drainage engineered in (GC, in-house).
An interior that dries
The quiet key to longevity is a room that dries after every use. Correct C-20 intake-and-exhaust ventilation clears the moisture a sauna makes, so the interior cedar isn't left sitting wet — the difference between a build that lasts decades and one that turns musty.
Sun & seasonal swing
Exterior-rated, UV-stable finishes handle the sun and the wet-dry seasonal cycle without checking or graying early. A periodic re-coat keeps it looking new with little effort.
None of this is exotic — it's the right materials and details, chosen for our microclimate rather than a catalog. Built this way, an outdoor sauna is a decades-long fixture, not a maintenance headache.

YOURSAUNAS holds the General Contractor, Electrical (C-10) and HVAC (C-20) licenses in-house — so design, foundation, framing, 240V wiring, ventilation and the heater are all done by one accountable team, under one set of permits. One point of contact, cleaner inspections, no finger-pointing between trades. The stove is test-fired before we hand it over — you never source a single trade yourself.
